About SewaScore

Because every citizen deserves dignity, transparency, and fair service.

What is SewaScore

SewaScore is Nepal’s first citizen-powered rating platform for government services and bureaucrats. It turns everyday service experiences—good or bad—into structured, anonymous, and actionable data. Our mission is clear: bring transparency, accountability, and dignity to public service.

For too long, Nepalis have accepted slow processes, unclear rules, and informal payments as normal. SewaScore exists to break that pattern. By giving citizens a safe, anonymous space to rate their experiences, we expose what has been hidden for decades: delays, unfair treatment, opaque processes—and the many officers who quietly do excellent work.

Why SewaScore Matters

Nepal’s public service system struggles with predictable issues:

  • No transparency about timelines or requirements
  • Normalized “chai-pani” culture
  • No safe feedback loop
  • No data for reform
  • Good bureaucrats going unrecognized

SewaScore turns citizen stories into evidence that can drive change.

What You Can Do on SewaScore

  • Rate government offices and individual bureaucrats
  • Tag issues like “very slow,” “suspected bribe,” “helpful,” “transparent process”
  • Share short, factual reviews
  • Compare offices before visiting
  • See which offices are improving—or declining

Every rating strengthens a national dataset used by media, NGOs, and reformers.
